In Beverly, NJ, there’s one name that’s been tied to great pizza and good times for generations: Riccardo’s. What started as a small family business back in the 1970s has grown into a local staple, known for its welcoming atmosphere, homemade recipes, and a menu that keeps people coming back.

From Sicily to South Jersey: A 50-Year Story

Riccardo’s wasn’t always the neighborhood icon it is today. In 1974, Vincenzo, a young immigrant from Sicily, bought what was once a franchise pizza shop—and turned it into something of his own. Armed with homemade recipes, a hard-working spirit, and a dream, he laid the foundation for something that would last generations.


In 1998, Vincenzo passed the torch to his son, Frank, who carried the business through highs and lows—including the 2008 recession. With grit and loyalty to his father’s vision, he kept Riccardo’s alive when many others closed their doors.


Then came me (Tony), Frank’s son (and soon to be owner ... EVENTUALLY!), who brought a modern twist to the legacy. Together, Frank and Tony have built a business that blends old-school values with fresh energy—keeping traditions alive while always pushing forward.

What makes Riccardo’s stand out in South Jersey isn’t just the food (though the Buffalo Chicken Pizza, Penne Vodka, and Stuffed Pizza Melts definitely help). It’s the feeling you get when you walk in:
